Background: 
Judith R. Damon, a fine arts graduate of Bennington College, is considered to be one of the finest artists on the East Coast. After living for many years in the Boston area, she settled in the Roanoke Valley. The Damon style has been described as "Romantic Impressionism," but it is her unusually gifted sense of color that has garnered universal praise from critics.
