In early 1990, Galleher realized she wanted to be a professional painter. She painted 40 hours a week for three years before marketing any work. During this time, she attended workshops and took classes taught by nationally renown artists. She developed her own painting signature of stylized impressionism in portraiture, landscapes and fantasy.
She continues to build a resume of achievements, has had several one-woman shows, and her work is featured in a number of galleries. Her paintings and prints are in prestigious art collections in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Galleher teaches oil painting classes and offers workshops to other inspiring artists. She is on the Registrar of the National Museum of Women and the Corcoran Gallery of Art, both located in Washington, D.C.
