Susan Loy of Literary Calligraphy in Moneta, VA, joins text from literary classics or Biblical passages with delicate watercolor images and creates a unique bond between fine art and literature. Susan's background in art history, literature, and philosophy often provides her with the ideas for her artwork. She has an extensive personal library, and also conducts special research projects at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Susan is the author of "Flowers, the Angels' Alphabet." The book has 139 floral drawings and 2,900 dictionary entries. It is 224 pages, with cloth hard cover and color illustrations, produced on heavy, acid-free paper. The book and an extensive collection of Susan's artwork are available at The Little Gallery.
