Upon viewing an oil painting by Robert Sarsony, one is immediately aware that the work was produced by a rare and masterly talent. Sarsony describes his style as realistic impressionism. His paintings are more detailed than were the French Impressionists but not nearly so tight as the realistic painters of today.
Sarsony paints a wide range of subjects which includes landscape, woman and children in various settings, figures, ballerinas and florals. In all of his works he tries to capture a brief visual experience and preserve that image on canvas.
The artists work is well received throughout the United States and is also found in several museums including the National Museum of American Art, Smithsonian Institution.
